Our Program
Phase 1
Purpose: The purpose of Phase 1 is to break the cycle of destructive behavior and to eliminate external stresses and emotional influences, allowing the healing process to begin.
Goals: As step one of a new beginning, the first phase of the program is intensive and very structured. Activities are closely supervised. Self-assessment, goal setting, individual counseling, exercise, prayer, and meditation occur each day. Contact is limited to program staff and participants for a minimum of 10 days.
Duration: Participation in Phase 1 lasts from 30 to 60 days.
Phase 2
Purpose: Phase 2 provides a safe environment in which to learn about and experience new behaviors and attendant results. The client is encouraged to explore and challenge existing feelings and belief systems. Additionally, the client is empowered to (re)discover his/her individual skills and talents and ways to utilize them.
Goals: This phase is about self-discovery and spiritual awareness. One-on-one counseling gradually is decreased from daily to weekly, but the client may request individual counsleing at any time. Group activities are more explorative, allowing clients to develop new tools for daily living. Contact with family and friends is encouraged at the discretion of the primary counselor.
Duration: Participation in Phase 2 lasts from 30 to 90 days.
Phase 3
Purpose: Phase 3 provides a secure, safe transition into the everyday world.
Goals: Clients return to work or school while living at the Center. Curfews and house rules are enforced. Participation in group meetings and worship services are encouraged. Individual counseling is available upon request. Clients support and encourage one another, providing a sense of trust and familial relationship.
Duration: The duration of Phase 3 varies from client to client.
